Time for a clue. I've just passed the confluence of two watercourses, and a structure.
Repeating photo for new page, NSW:

- On the Guthega to Charlotte Pass track just past Spencers Creek, Kosciuszko NP via Guthega NSW

The structure behind me is quite new and facilitates the walk ahead of me, tracking along one of the most well known watercourses in Australia.

Based on the clue I assume its the Guthega to Charlotte track?

Getting further away. While not obvious in the photo, this at the confluence of two water courses.
(Nichols has always been dry/underground when I've been there too)

If eggs is getting further away then I'm guessing this is Wilkinsons Gorge near the confluence of Cave Creek and the Goodradigbee River.
p.s. Cave Creek has usually been dry for me too, but I have been there once in flood. It was an absolute torrent and you couldn't safely cross it.

The confluence of Cave Creek and the Goodradigbee River is correct, although it's not Wilkinsons Gorge - that's on Cave Creek downstream from the falls (this photo is of the Good with Cave Creek just out of shot... not a named gorge).

Thanks, yes I can see the unnamed feature there on the map. I haven't been all the way to the Goodradigbee end.
Leaving NSW but not all that far away. ACT:

Yep, at least as close as I can remember. Definitely taken on the loop walk in the National Park.

Yep, yet to be "commissioned" at the time I took the photo.

Thanks johnw. Not too far away and a little cooler than the weather we've been getting recently.

I'm thinking maybe the Thredbo River on the early part of the Cascade Trail, before the climb to Bobs Ridge?
Fri 20 Dec, 2024 2:06 pm
Looks like the Guthega River to me.

That's it. Bobs Ridge I think is in the background

Thanks crolly. It looked about right from memory, but also does have a resemblance to Munyang R. beyond the power station.
