Looks like one of those Tarkine lakes. A bit small for Lake Chisholm.

Thanks.
I'm on my phone, so hopefully this screenshot will suffice, and enough detail can be obtained from it.

I think you're looking at Macs from somewhere on the western end of Walled, before you drop down to the saddle between them.
Sat 22 Feb, 2025 7:32 pm
Yep, that's the spot. Pretty much right above the drop off towards the scrubby saddle.

Fanks.
You're definitely in the right part of the world, but many more feet have trodden this track than the Franklands.

Are you somewhere between The Capella Crags and Mt Hayes looking at Lake Nereid?

Hmm. Not sure what to do with this answer. It's definitely a tricky one, as there's only one spot on the track where it looks like this, and it's hard to match with the map at all. It can't be looking at Nereid because of the background. Can you narrow it down a bit more?
Sun 23 Feb, 2025 9:19 pm
are you looking the other way from a similar spot?

Ok, take it away Last. But I'm directly above Lake Cygnus rather than anywhere near Mt Hayes.

Thanks Tortoise, That was more good luck than good knowledge, but I'll take it. Next
