Looking up to Slatters?

Ooops, I shouls have checked in earlier. IDP is correct, I'm looking at Slatters from somewhere further south on the range. So whoever wants to and isn't already out bush is welcome to post our next one.

Lake Loane?
Sat 19 Apr, 2025 4:51 pm
You're in the right Park. This lake's well known, a useful overnighter. It's named after Archie Meston but is not Lake Meston.

Great Pine Tier in the background.

Ah Chees, you have great taste in campsites, but I'm heading out so anyone can jump in.

What they said, please.

Sorry NW, I misgendered you. Something we could add to the Profile list to boost membership.
Ah Cheese is a top little spot, well protected but getting over the Pine River if coming from the east is a more than a leap. Next beautiful camping is s/east L.Toorah, then drop down to L.Adelaide.

Where was I last week - approximate location will do as I don’t think this tarn has a name.

If you keep going past this tarn you’ll come to a nice lake to camp at.

Stacks of people have climbed that mountain on the horizon but not so often from this direction.

So looking at Stacks Bluff but from which direction? If it is and looking so prominent then you must be somewhere east, south or west of the Ben Lomond plateau.

That will do. Looking at Stacks Bluff over some tarns just south of Ossians Throne. We camped at Lake Youl that night and climbed the bluff the next day.

Someone else please post.
So high and distant, 7 kms away. I don't have useful shots so anyone else please post.

Trying to think where I’ve seen those white (plastic?) poles with the red tape on them. Eliza Plateau?
