It looks like a volcanic thingy in the background, couple that with USA and island which suggests Hawaii. Not pointy, lets say Manua Loa.

Right Island, different volcano but you are quite close.

Yes eggs. I was lucky to be able to walk down in the crater in 2018 among the steam vents etc.
The mountain has erupted several times since and I don't believe that level of access is permitted now.

Lake and river are very high and have the same name as the park. Lots of ice still in the lake.
