Ok - next one
Where are they?
Wed 19 May, 2010 10:44 am
I can see Pedder in the background.
I can see the Sentinel Range Behind that.
So you are somewhere on the North Western end of the Western Arthur Range
Maybe the top of Moraine A?
Wed 19 May, 2010 10:48 am
That was quick - yes - top of Moraine A it is.

Lake Lexie?
Wed 19 May, 2010 1:47 pm
There's just a hint of late fagus on the far slope.
I didn't notice any fagus around Lexie
Wed 19 May, 2010 11:32 pm
There is a lot of fagus in the Cradle Mountain area though....

Thu 20 May, 2010 11:34 am

You got some lovely shots of the Twisted Lakes there - as you coming down from Hanson's Peak.
The 2nd is close to the shore where we had lunch a few years back.

Correct eggs, I didn't think it would take that long to guess.
Thanks, it was a magical day up at Cradle I summited Little Horn and Weindorfers Tower. The mirrors on the water lasted the whole day too.
I might have to post a trip report??
Thu 20 May, 2010 5:27 pm
Would be very interested in your track up Weindorfers

I can see federation peak on the left distance. I think?
Thu 20 May, 2010 5:45 pm
The left ????
There are a few peaks of note in here - including Federation
Thu 20 May, 2010 6:01 pm
Coming off the back of Maxwell ridge.
EDIT, Actually im now thinking it might be Hill 4
Thu 20 May, 2010 6:47 pm
Megapixel wise it is magnificent.
thanks.
edit ... Why are some so lucky with the weather?
Thu 20 May, 2010 7:56 pm
I will give this to ILUVSWTAS - for his first guess.
This was ascending Maxwells Ridge on the return journey
Weather? hmm - hail on the way in, clagged out on Pinders, quite good on Maxwells/La Perouse and complete white out returning on Moonlight Ridge.
But a very enjoyable trip anyway.. you can see more in the new trip reports section once it has transferred from the Gallery.
It is a composite panorama of several pictures and you can see an issue in one of the joins - but overall I was pretty happy with it.
Peaks visible - Ironbounds - Precipitous Bluff - Wylly - Victoria Cross & Federation

That looks like Mt Wellington from somewhere South
Fri 21 May, 2010 3:10 pm
Maybe Mt Misery?
Fri 21 May, 2010 3:12 pm
Definately not Wello. Not bulky enough and this peak is way further north. I'll add to this post by giving another clue, a couple of people recently got lost here.....
Sat 22 May, 2010 8:30 pm
Are you on Mt Paris?
Sun 23 May, 2010 4:58 am
Mt Paris.... now your testing me, im not very good with peaks not featuring on the peakbaggers list. Not sure where that is, so no not Mt Paris.
Sun 23 May, 2010 8:15 am
Ok. I'm fairly certain that's Mt Arthur view from the east and we're looking for Peak Bagger List summits.
Can I have 4 guesses?
1. Mt Maurice
2. Mt Victoria
3. Mt Scott
4. Mt Albert
P.S. Mt Paris is the nearest peak to Branxholm. In the ABC report about the missing couple from WA, Branxholm was the only place mentioned. Mt Paris is moderately famous a nearby historic dam which has recently been listed on the heritage register. I thought the WAlians may have been heritage buffs.

Oh yeh I remember hearing about that one. These guys called for help on their mobile phone, that was all I heard. They were found around 8pm. It was from Mt Scott, Or near the summit anyway. It is Mt Arthur and you did the hard work so over to you TT.

Is this on the Long Tarns track?
Mon 24 May, 2010 1:43 pm
Looks more like the view from Projection Bluff over the Liffey Forest Reserve
Mon 24 May, 2010 2:17 pm
Nice try Pazzar but not quite. I can picture the cliffs along the front of Turranna Bluff being similar. Eggs has it though. The main bluff in the middle distance is Liffey Bluff and peeking over the top is Drys Bluff. The key clue is the bitumen Highland Lakes Road just visible behind the foreground shrubbery.
