nah in cradle reserve. I'm under the impression that this is a hydro lake, but i cant pick one with that view

Are you on the SE arm of the Needles.
Also when I went up Picton earlier this year the hand rails have all been washed away.

Nope, Needles is more heavily forested and much more craggy. This is not from the SW.

You guys are in the right area, the NE is usually pretty easy to identify, It's not Ben im looking at but another Mtn that is over 1400mtrs
