I do also have a thermal liner rated 15 degrees..
Just to say, i've been doing the overland track a week ago with the -8 plus the liner, sleeping in the huts, i was naked and swetting! My friend with the +8 slept in a tent for a night , no limer but with thermals and a jumper, and he felt great!
I know the overland is higher, but the south coast is exposed to the cold winds
I was convinced by this forum and others (shops..) to have the -8 for the overland, but at the end it has been a useless weight to carry (and 400 dollars worth ...not worth!). Everybody else during the track had also a very light sleeping bag.
So please, if anybody who actually DID this walk around april-may , and not somebody who did it in december or august and guessing the temperature now, could you kindly help me with that? Thanx a lot!!
