In good condition should be a little bit less rare than "Hens teeth" May I ask why??
I don't own a Moss tent but I do own a "Pentawing" fly; I'm not sure I want to part with it though.

Hi Moondog

I have an Olympic but I am looking for something smaller and lighter. I found my tent to be a star performer and was thinking something from the same stable would be nice to try.

A "pentawing"? Is that the 5 sided tent fly that could attach to and extend a hooped tent or something much bigger? I googled it and only found a japanese post showing a shade sail (+ your posts).

thx for the reply.

Yes that's it
I use it with my tents usually when I have kids with me, shade in summer and extended porch on the Megamid for wet but not too windy weather

Thanks for the very generous offer of a loan to make a copy. I'll get myself sorted first so that it can be made straight away (or at least teh tempalte developed) so I can get it back to you ASAP. The obviosu question is would you like me to get one made for you while I am about it? If so, what material would you like to use. I am trying to source some silnylon or similar but I will also consider making one out o f a heavier fabric for base camping applicatiosn etc. I'll giv eyou a hoy when I am ready to go.cheersI saw one sell on Ebay US last month, it went for $195-USD

Why don't you copy it and sew it your self? I'd loan the fly to you to draft a pattern, original Moss gear is now highly collectable.
Alternatively ask MSR if they plan to reintroduce it, MSR bought the production rights to all Moss tents

No problem this is supposed to be a friendly place, I was trying to organize a group buy of silnylon myself but as i lost my FT job and now I only get 1.5 days a week things are a little tight.

Just so long as I get the original back I'm OK

Just post this on the forum so others may want to get in on the act, it may be worthwhile asking hitchhiking AKA TerraRosa if he wants to do the work
