I did a North Prom circuit a few years ago. We went the other way so our last day was Tin Mine Cove to Five Mile Rd. Navigating through the swamp area is a bit tricky. At times we were stopping every few metres to look for trail markers. There seemed to be a number of different coloured and at times contradictory ribbons attached to trees and bushes. We did quite a lot of backtracking and felt lost a lot of the time. I don't think it was a super-long day, but definitely give yourself a full day for it. Navigating might be easier heading north because you really just have to get to the beach I suppose.
The other thing to consider is water. We did it in 2008, before the drought broke, so the swamp was dry. At the moment though there could be sections of waist deep water/mud (or maybe deeper if it pisses down tomorrow as forecast). I was thinking of doing this walk a few weeks ago but decided against it as I didn't think my girlfriend would forgive me for dragging her through the mud. Call the Tidal River rangers and see if they know what current conditions are like.
If you're an experienced walker though I don't see any reason you couldn't do it solo.
Have fun!
