[LOST] SD Card - The Walls

Postby stepbystep » Tue 20 Mar, 2012 3:50 pm

OK so it's a massive long shot, I lost a 16GB SD card(blue in colour) in The Walls of Jerusalem last week, either at a lookout on the West Wall, at the top of 'the chute' up to Solomons Throne or somewhere between there and the car :(
It's the size of a postage stamp and with snow coming I reckon I'm pretty well stuffed, but you never know......

Reward offered :)

Hi Dan,
You should post something about this on the FB pages of HWC and Pandani. Not sure if there are programmed walks by either, but often members will do private trips and this is always a nice easy favourite for a lot of guys.
Cheers

So much for buckleys...

I have a couchsurfer staying at my place this instant. We were going over each others hiking journals and he mentioned something about a SD card he had found in the Walls - turns out a 16 GB DickSmith full of pictures and I recognized this post. The dates of his journal match up with your last post.

He put it in a plastic bag and attached it to a rental car, a car he presumed was the owner. He left a note saying, "This card must be yours, if not, please leave it at the registration hut"

I hope you get your card back!

So Mole Creek PWS have looked in the registration booth and it wasn't left there or if it was it was subsequently removed...

...think I'm back to buckleys :?

A wise German, hippy artist friend told me that she never takes a camera with her on any trip she does as we tend to use the photos to remind us of the adventure. Eventually our memory of a place, or event, just becomes a series of photographs and not what it was actually like to have experienced the place.

I hope the trip remains long in your memory with the sounds, the smells and the feel of 'The Walls' which you shared with your friend. :D

Haha doogs with a memory like mine I need all the triggers possible....
It's no big deal really, I have his pics and some I had on a 2nd card, but I took some awesome HD video that I'd love to get back.... amazing someone found it at all really.

Every time it rains I can close my eyes, sniff some sweaty thermals and remember the walls trip fondly :)
