Wilderness Equipment 1.5-person Dart Tent

Postby kozevian » Tue 24 Jul, 2012 12:27 pm

A fantastic 1.5-man, freestanding tent. I have used this about 15 nights in total, and has proven itself time and again in the rough and rugged (and mostly rainy) Tasmanian wilderness.

Inner space is enough to sleep one with all the gear comfortably on one side. The outer vestibule is large enough to fit tramping bag, boots, and I have cooked numerous times inside when it is wet outside.

It is "as new" condition, with no rips and dirt stains. I believe, "if you look after your tent, your tent will look after you".

I am upgrading to a 2-person tent as I am need to accommodate another person when I tramp.

From wildequpiment.com.au: "The Dart is a true, free-standing solo tent combining excellent storm strength and stability with great ventilation, generous floor area and useful vestibule space. With the waterproof outer skin removed, the insect-proof, mesh-walled inner remains as a perfect dry-season enclosure for those warm, starry nights."

I have written a review of this tent here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7304, about 7 posts down the thread.

Purchased for $400 AUD 4 months ago. Happy to upload an specific shots for you all.

Happy to consider reasonable offers

No probs!! Best not to have confusing info...

Great tents these, about as bombproof and as good in snow as you can buy!

To be fair to Koz, it is advertised as UL on the WE website :P

Ah yeah, it is, but in the end I figured most here are aware that 2.3kg for a one-man tent is not considered UL.

Still, a comfortable and reasonable weight.
