Hi! My partner and I are planning a "road trip" over the Christmas break between Port Macquarie and Sydney. We've got the Daly "Take a walk" book, but I'm keen to hear suggestions on great day walks along the way, especially since the Daly book seems to cover only parks along the coastline, not venturing much into the interior. [I'd be keen to hear non-bushwalking awesome things to do as well]. We've got 16 days to do it all ... Now to figure out what the "all" is...
So, has anyone done anything really great in the National Parks there, or have hints or tips on campsites to stay at or avoid etc?
Thanks in advance!

We're reasonably fit, and can do 22km (+-200m elevation) as a day walk without too much effort.
