Hi James,
seeing as I have this book I thought I'd chime in and say that it is without a doubt the finest book of nature/landscape/wilderness photography ever produced, in the world, ever. I also have 'Simply' and 'Wild Rivers' which are excellent books of Peter Dombrovskis work and I own a number of other books by well known artists & photographers and frequently borrow books with a similar theme from my regional library. Some of my favourites are those from Ansel Adams, Richard Woldendorp, Eliot Porter, Henri Cartier-Bresson, etc you get the drift, but Dombrovskis: A Photographic Collection is simply the best.
It's taken me years to begin appreciating all the photos in the book as they are all remarkable and it's hard to get through too many pages in one sitting without being a bit overwhelmed, I've recently been enjoying some from the back of the book that I hadn't really noticed before
I did a quick search for it and couldn't find a copy anywhere, proving that it is quite rare. I've searched for it at other times just to see if there are any out there and what they are selling for and I think last time I found 3 copies for sale at $800 (it had slight damage and didn't have the sturdy slip case), $950 and another which was advertised for $1500! (& I should add that it none of them lasted very long).
Sorry to hear that you are selling it but good luck
