Oxfam Trailwalker teams

Postby tasadam » Fri 22 Mar, 2013 9:33 pm

I reckon there would be a good few folk interested in this event.

And for those of us that cannot participate, perhaps we can give support in some other way.

People, feel free to use this topic to give your team a plug!

I have knowledge that someone from this team is a member of the forum! https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/team/home/14251

My son and his wife are walking. I hope to be there as there support person - if I can steal a day off work. I'll get to drive the 4x4, set up the tent and supply the gateraid. I'll avoid the 100Km in 48hrs bit - 'cause I wouldn't make it - not even in my dreams. :)

My son in law, sister in law and nephew are all walking the Melbourne walk and aiming for under 20 hours.
I'm in the vital role  of pit crew, keeping them fed and watered etc. But I will walk some with them to hopefully
boost their spirits a bit. I've been involved helping out 4 times now. It is a very hard slog physically and mentally
they are all champions in my eyes.

If you would like to make a donation, the teams are out on the trail this weekend.

My son and daughter in-law are participating in Victoria.

My families team is Resurrection Shufflers and they just compled the walk in 25 hours 49 minutes "non stop"
Only short breaks at check points no lay off for sleep. https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/team/home/13301
We are dusting off the equipment and vowing to never do it again.....but I've said that 5 times now (as support not a walker).

We have a team doing the brisbane leg in June and are looking for all the kind people out there to help us out and donate to our team.

Our team is my wife and myself, a mate I work with and a rep from Monroe Australia.
Fundraising is hard but every dollar counts and we would appreciate donations of any amount, they are tax deductible and a reciept is emailed straight back to you when you donate.

Follow the link below to donate to our team.
Thank you

Just keep putting one in front if the other.
