Has NZ drifted into the Northern hemisphere when I wasn't looking or are your seasons really screwed up?

i'm reading too many northern hemisphere articles.... doh, changing from "spring" heading to "autumn"

Just back from a week up in the hills above Lake Tekapo in NZ and what an amazing snow dump there was at the weekend.
3-5cm, just enough to coat that hard ice.
But wow, did it add to the atmosphere.
