Bob Turner Track, Wollemi NP

Does anyone know the current condition of the access to this track - is it driveable by sedan or only 4WD? I would be very grateful for a response.

Ask NPWS at Richmond?
It is normally considered to be a regular 2WD unsealed road, and is maintained. The signpost to the access road is fairly obvious, on the left going north just after the Colo Heights Service Station.

I drove out there in a 2wd a few weeks back. The road is in very good condition. Even a small 2wd with low clearance would make it to the Bob Turner Track carpark with a little care.

We were there two weeks ago, the road is definitely still 2wd and fine. The walk down was lovely as always and great swimming at the bottom, the river's obviously been very high recently judging by the grass and trees bent over from flood waters.

I liked walking up that track imagining Bob Turner carrying a canoe up it, and also being glad I wasn't.

When I was down there a month back we saw a couple canoes wedged in flood debris down by the river. I'm sure they're still there if you had the inclination to find out just what it's like!
