I looked at the calendar this morning while doing my homework for Tax-Help and OMG I start the volunteering next week and in two weeks I'll be skiing. Still have skis that need bindings fitted.

Well I have less than two weeks to go and funnily enough similar conundrums but alas Im not going bushwalking or skiing lol ;-)
Have an awesome time though. I know you'll get packed and ready to go in time. What skis n bindings did you wind up getting.

Older Voile cables with a 20mm riser plus climbing wires, this way I have spare cables just in case [ I'll fit the new wires and pack the old ones] really it's a shame the release binding didn't come with heel wires and the small heel plate isn't a spare part any more.
I will have about 5 pairs of skis up there for folk to try out but all in my size, 190 to 210
Babies are fun even if the making of them is more fun than having them LOL.
I get a real kick out of the grandkids but I can give them back.

Good luck to you both! I'm sure the body will remember (skiing & having a bub!!) & you'll do fine. Think I would prefer the skiing option though ;)
Cheers

Same Lizzy same. Mind you I havent put my skis on since putting my knee out sideways and having a recon so perhaps its even ;-)
Sounds good Moondog. Ive been looking at a new setup recently. But more resort focused/all mountain with a binding good for slackcountry as well. Just need to pluck the courage up to get back on them. Mind you Ive also snowboarded for 18 years so I might just chicken out n board when I head down at the end of the season.

You can get fit out there. :)

I have finished sewing my new winter quilt but have still to add the down - things keep coming up. I think I might be procrastinating.

Soooo envious guys! I hope there's some way you can give updates on your exploits.
I've got a couple of weekends downhill skiing booked, but would be great to do what you're all doing. I hope the weather is kind

And good luck to you too Mic. Though I'd much rather give birth than do the whole nine months pregnancy-feel sick-dumpy body thing. Hope you enjoy at least part of it, and I hop you get lots of family help afterwards. Lol, the hard work doesn't start till after you've given birth!
We can learn a lot from crayons. They come in different shapes and colours, but they all have to live in the same box
