christmas hols hike

Postby Trekka » Thu 19 Dec, 2013 4:12 pm

G'day all,

This is my first post of the forums, So hello to you all. I am looking to conduct a couple of hikes or walks in the Blue Mountains between Christmas and the new year and wondered if anybody had already organised a group one. I can usually hike all day with short breaks so most locations shouldn't be a problem. I don't have any friends or family that are interested in hikes or climbing and would love to meet a community that regularly gets together. I have just bought a house in Blackheath and I am excited to explore the region.

Any and all info would be great. Thanks in advance.

I know how you feel there trekka. Welcome to the forum by the way. If you can't link up with anybody consider going out by yourself.

Trekka,

You sound like a candidate for the Upper Blue Mountains Bushwalking Club. Friendly mob with some very knowledgeable people. Like just about all bushwalking clubs these days, they have an older age bias, but this doesn't limit their walks. At $25 a year, you've not too much to lose.
