With the cooperation of bushwalk.com, Bushwalking NSW has set up this forum as a place where issues facing bushwalkers in NSW can be raised and discussed. This is not intended to detract from the general NSW forum, but is targeted at issues where Bushwalking NSW can be involved or take a position on behalf of NSW bushwalkers.
From time to time, Bushwalking NSW will post and ask for feedback or assistance from the large pool of knowledge available here.
Equally, if you have an issue that you think needs to be taken up with the NSW government, raise it here and we will see what we can do.
Bushwalking NSW Inc is the peak body representing bushwalkers in NSW. It currently represents around 9000 bushwalkers in clubs across the state, and provides a number of services to those people and clubs. It is the NSW representative in Bushwalking Australia. It also supports the Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Service (http://bwrs.org.au), a specialist member of the Voluntary Rescue Association (VRA), whose focus is wilderness rescue situations.
