FS [ACT] 3 down parkas (2 men's, 1 women's)

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

FS [ACT] 3 down parkas (2 men's, 1 women's)

Postby Joomy » Tue 29 Apr, 2014 9:15 pm

Hi all, three top-tier down parkas for sale. All three were chosen for their warmth to weight ratio. All in new condition, bought last year and worn only in the house. Prices include domestic shipping.

1. Rab Infinity Endurance, size L, "ebony" colour, Pertex endurance/Pertex quantum. 570g total with 210g of down. Beautiful and very warm for the weight. $275.

2. Bergans Sastrugi, size L, navy blue/light blue (reversible) Pertex endurance/Pertex microlight. 700g with over 300g of down. Expedition weight parka bought for a trip that didn't eventuate. Super warm, reversible design for some reason. $300.

3. Bergans Sastrugi women's, size M, light blue/navy blue, Pertex Endurance/Microlight. Women's version of above. About 550g with roughly 250g of down. Same story. $300.

For reference I am 6'4 with 42" chest (normally wear large in outdoor gear) and both men's parkas fit me very well. The women's is perhaps a tad larger than a normal women's medium.

Pics to come.

No one interested? Come on, winter is coming! Feel free to make an offer. These would be great parkas for anyone heading to NZ, Patagonia, Canada or Scandinavia in winter.

I like them, but I'll probably save up for a katabiatic one instead.
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Whoops, I mean Nunatak.

Kobuk or Skaha, not sure yet.

Fair enough. I'm definitely not going to say that these are better than Nunatak or PhD options but I do reckon they are 90% as good for half the price.

Joomy I'd be all over that Rab endurance jacket if I didn't already have the Neutrino, I can't believe you haven't sold it, these are really top quality.

Same! I attribute it to the small market. If I lived in America these would sell in a second.

Moondog: true, but I doubt I'm going to Nepal anytime soon and I need the money for other trips!
