I have no dissatisfaction with the tent whatsoever, but as I now have a lot of flexibility as to when I choose to walk, I simply do not need this level of bombproofness and the slight weight penalty that comes with the bombproofness.

That, I believe is a saving of at least $200 for what is essentially a brand new Soulo and footprint.

One for sleeping in, one for cooking in, one for storing your pack etc in, so you definately need a second soulo as guest accomodation. What's an extra couple of kilos
