Mitchells Creek Fire Trial Megalong Valley

Postby jay » Tue 30 Sep, 2014 3:50 pm

Planning to walk from the Devils Hole, pick up old water board road then the six foot track and head for Dunphys Campground.
Do anyone know if i can access the Mitchells Creek Fire Trial from Nellies Glen Road? Then travel basically south past Black Billy Head to intersection Carlons Head and Dunphys...?
Haven't walked there and reading a topo is one thing.
thanks

Yes you can. I did a trip in the reverse direction and came out at the Devils hole near boars head. Far out that is steep. Also note a visit to the old mine is a worthwhile side trip. Also there is a private residence in there with its own access road.
