Water on Coast Walk RNP

Postby johnrs » Fri 29 May, 2015 3:42 pm

Hi Folks
Any recent info regarding water sources along the Coast Walk in the Royal NP?
In particular what is the state of the lagoon/creek at the Nth Era campsite??
Thanks
John

Plenty of good water all along the track. Most is fine to drink without any treatment. Eg -

- Small creek cutting through the cliffs just south of Bundeena
- Creek at Little Marley (go upstream, probably best to filter or treat)
- The creek you cross a bit to the north of Wattamola, and the creek at Wottamolla
- Creeks at Curracurrong and Curracurrang
- Creek at Era - should have water if you look upstream a bit, definitely filter or treat
- Creek you cross at the top of the Palm Jungle Track, just before the track levels out

I don't think I have ever carried water on the Coastal Track.
