Gibralter Ranges Near Grafton

Postby cap_jack » Mon 29 Jun, 2015 11:40 am

It’s NOT a life or death trek, just some beautiful scenery and action in the high forests of Australia. Once past Anvil Rock, we’re pushing through wilderness with no tracks in high country where the mighty Clarence River is born. As you will see, we are not exactly teenagers anymore! In fact, we’re closer to 70 than 60, and yet we still want to explore wild places. And so in order not to endanger ourselves, or others, we choose to keep in touch with our physical fitness by testing our bodies on dry land close to facilities.

there's a youtube vid here http://youtu.be/15tykJU1jGM

Plenty of water, easy gradients, unless you drop off the escarpment. Frost in winter.
We did this in 2012, and think we'll give it another run this winter, 2015.

I see we wrote a webpage on this walk. Plenty of photos to give you an idea.
