Mt Buller overnight hikes

Postby Rosseth » Fri 25 Sep, 2015 9:09 am

Hey all. New to the forum and new to bush bashing. I've been trying to look into an overnight hike with an overnight stay on Mt stirling (starting point Mt buller). Some info on the net but no details on camping spots on stirling (aside from the obvious Craigs Hut) other than to avoid camping under Alpine Ash in the lower areas. Wondering if any have done this one in summer, and if it's suitable to drag along a keen 9 year old? Any other overnight hike suggestions from Mt buller (and immediate surrounds) would also be welcome.

I'd also like to hit the grampians and lederderg, but I'll save them for another topic!
