Well... I can see Goulds Sugerloaf and the edge of the Cheyne Range.
But you are not looking at this from Donaghys Hill...

This is probably Lake Webster from Mt Crooke.

I find the small pokey head of Mt Field West in the background so intriguing, since the rest of the plateau seems so flattish.
And you can make out where the tarn shelf is - even if you cannot see the tarns.

Spot on eggs,
A great spot with a unique view of the Mt Field area, and one of the few spots to view Webster from on high.
Would be nice in Autumn with the Fagus on show along Tarn Shelf.
Over to you...

I would suggest Eldon Range possibly from High Dome

Looks more like the Du Cane range, Acropolis, Geryon, Massif, Falling etc. (tele-photo shot).
Maybe from Rogoona or somewhere in the walls?

The distant mountains are certainly the Du Cane Range.
Not Rogoona stu, but your second suggestion needs refining.
Careful attention to the right hand side and foregound should assist.

I was initially going to say Solomons Throne, but a bit of a guess, looks similar?

Not quite sure what you are suggesting stu.
However - the edge of Solomons Throne is in the picture - so not from there.

From King David's Lookout looking past the West Wall and Solomon's Throne, then?

You will have to enlighten me robbo.

On my first visit to the walls 30 odd years ago there was just the West Wall with Halls Buttress above Damascus gate.
Going back now the names have grown so that the West Wall is topped by King Davids Peak (the tallest spot) at one end, and Solomons Throne (in place of Halls Buttress) at the other.

I don't know where King David's Lookout is? But if you are referring to the saddle (Damascus gate) where the track junction is, that is not where I was.

Yes, you are right eggs, I was going by memory (very bad) rather than from the proper name.
