Well Dan guessed correctly - from my recent trip up Schnells Ridge.

So anyone feel free to post the next one.

It looks coastal. Is it somewhere on the south west cape? If it isn't coastal, my second guess would be from Sprent looking over Lake Pedder?
Cheers

If you look carefully I think you will see some roads at the back.
Highly unlikely on the SW Cape [although one previous post was a picture of the SW Cape Range with a large white streak - probably a rock - which tricked me]

Also - look carefully at the shore lines.
There appears to be 2 different bodies of water in view - as one is at a lower level than the other..

At first glance I was thinking Lake Judd with Pedder in the background.........placing you between Lightning Ridge and Sarah Jane?

I don't know if Taurë-rana was up there at the same time as these guys:
http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3536&p=39532&hilit=cracking+weather#p39532,

but there is something a bit familiar about that shoreline in their photo...also with the hint of a dirt road on the far right

Andrew has it right - Lake Peddar and Lake Gordon from Mt Sprent. I thought it interesting that Lake Peddar looked like just a little lake there. I did go up with sbs and ILUVSWTAS and the others, it was a lovely walk, just about the right pace for Dan and me because the others were slowed down with their ridiculously heavy packs  ! It was a bit of a pity leaving the boys to keep going along the Frankland Range - if we'd thought about it, it would have been a good idea to go with them just for the first night.
Seems to me that Mt Sprent is an underutilised walk as it's reasonably easy and has fantastic views.

Yes, it is a great walk. When I was there last, we had a great bit of luck with the weather and could easily see the west cost from the top. I remember it being very cold as we had quite a bit of horizontal sleet hitting us from the west. One of only a few times when I have had to pull everything out of my pack to stay warm (including overmitts to keep my hands from freezing)!
Does that mean it is now my go? Assuming that it is, here is one picture that might be easy for southerners. It may have already been put up on 'Where Am I Game' - I haven't been keeping up.
Cheers

Sorry eggs. Been offline for a while and will be until Monday morning. Walking tomorrow, while the weather is good.
Regarding the place, it is a gorge east of Hobart. A lot of local walkers use it as a nice place for a short day walk. The geological features are pretty amazing the further you go along the gorge and it is something that you don't expect to be where it is.
I believe that there is walk description in one of David Leaman's books.
As I will be offline for awhile, I am happy for someone else to load a photo to keep the game going.
Cheers

Not sure where Andrew has gone, but from his description I suspect it is the Bluff River Gorge
as in http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3158&p=36334&hilit=+gorge#p36334

Any one is free to post the next.

Hi eggs,
Is it from Barn Bluff - or on the way out there - looking back towards Cradle Mtn and the cirque? Nice photo. If correct, someone else can post as I don't really have time to post and play - should be working!
Cheers

That is fairly close. It is from the edge of Cradle Cirque looking back along it as we were heading along the main OT route, starting the descent to towards Waterfall Valley.
We had been out to Barn Bluff prior to this, but this was not actually from that section.

Pity about not posting - you should feel free to post and then check back again much later. It is how it often works given that people do not live on computers.
Your last entry had no bites until your clues and my entry this morning - a gap of nearly 4 days.
I suspect a slow trickle may be the best we can expect at the moment, given we have now done over 570 "where am I" entries.

Hmm lets see - you have 272 peak bagging points .....

and I have ... 77...

Maybe you should shuffle the photos before you submit - a few older ones and then "bam" throw in a newbie so we won't relate it to your latest weekend ramble.

It is true though, that with entries approaching 600, keen followers probably have a much better idea of what Tas has to offer than they did before this site started or this game in particular.

Well this has certainly upped the difficulty.

The Denisons is the easy bit - but I suspect Mt Wright is on the left and the Needles are the spikey ones.
It means a lot of zoom - possibly from Snowy North?

You don't look to be on an actual peak - but were you near Nevada?

There appears to be a number of unnamed peaks just south of Nevada.
Is that where you are talking about?

OK - I am running with the LIST and I know it may not show all the names.

But assuming the scree slope is close and not a long way away - I suspect we are getting down to Snowy South looking past the higher unnamed peak just north from it.

Not actually in the Walls
This is actually quite a large lake - just that the tail end does not reveal the full extent.

I think the clue here will be identifying the curious peak at the back. [The lake backs onto it]
