Postby brother-maynard » Mon 23 Nov, 2020 8:22 am

Hi all,

Am looking for a single person tent for an upcoming Christmas trip in Tassie.
Requirements are:
- double walled
- free standing
- fits a 6'3 man with a matching length sleeping mat
- about 1.5kg max incl groundsheet and bags

On the wishlist are:
- Mont Moondance
- MSR Hubba
- Big Agnes Copper Spur
- Tarptent Moment DW or Bowfin

Shoot me a message if you have a good candidate lying about?
Price according to age/condition - am not looking for pristine but do appreciate a waterproof tent ;)

I have a Big Sky Chinook 1P that isn't getting any action.

At ~1.4kg I've mainly used it for snow shoe camping. It's been a good shelter and it been tough enough. I bought it 2016 and it's done a few, but is in top condition.

Comes with tyvek original footprint.

230cm interior - 7.5 ft - so you can take a big pillow!

Will upload several very cool photos, but the Choose File button isn't working.

Its RRP at BBL is $659 - about $59 more than it was in 2016.

As its sitting on the shelf - $450 ONO?

Hey all

Thread hijack, I also have a Big Sky Chinook 1, with both summer and winter inner. Indestructible, light, flexible components according to season, fast to pitch. Proven in Tierra Del Fuego!

Location Hobart, can post.

Used, but in VGC. Comes with Tyvek 1443 footprint
