TAS/SYDNEY - WANTED: CAVING HELMET WITH LIGHT

Hi everyone,

This might be a bit of a strange question, but i was wondering if anyone knows if theres somewhere either online or in tassie or sydney that i'd be able to buy a caving helmet with a mounted light (hopefully decently priced!)

HI Erica,

The Petzl brand of gear is actually designed for caving - the headtorches have crossed over to mainstream use, as you need something pretty reliable when you're in the dark otherwise.

Edit: Edelrid is the other specialist caving supplier - most helmets I saw were Edelrid.


(former cave rescue, but my gear's all gone, I stopped caving when my back started acting up.)
