I keep a lazy eye on ebay for Hilleberg gear. Nallo2 do occasionally come up on ebay, though they seem to be the most popular Hilleberg. Normally save $100 odd over the Moontrail price (adjusted up for postage then down for bonuses....)

I was looking a Moontrail.
Thinking went something like:
Ok, so if I get the Nallo then I just have to find something for another 75 points to get the Neoair for free.
It could go on for ever!!!!!
Guess I'm a bit of a gear freak at heart!

Does help to use the full grand for the best value. You can buy points with them...
It sometimes gets lost in the age of the bargain but I can remember 20yrs ago not getting much change from that for a top locally available tent...

Had a look, wonder why the tent needed all the zips and guys replaced. They don't mention age.
tasadam, that's a good idea. Do you remember what it cost including postage?

No. I think the points work out at about a dollar per point.
The current price inc postage to me is US$622, which according to http://www.xe.com is $693
But it will be cheaper than that when you cash your points, on freight I think.
Can't remember how but I know it can be done.

Just searched my emails, found the tent used to be $525 and the points were 40, and I cashed the points with "bonus points for cash - -$1 discount per point redeemed.

That being the case, assuming $55 US discount for the tent, the AU$ price, landed, with the cheapest freight option, is
$550 (tent) + $72 (freight) -55 (points) = US$567 = AUD$633

Hi all,
Thought I'd let you know how I ended up buying this tent.
If you look at the Hilleburg website under special offers (Home page/Products/Special Offers)the Nallos come up quite frequently.
I ended up getting one for 20% off because it had been used as a display model. (Bit of dirt on it.)
There is one there with 40% off because it was torn. (But now repaired.)
The Nallo still hasn't arrived, will let you know what it is like when it arrives.

I bought it for walking in Tassie and have my sights set on The Western Arthurs as I only got to Square Lake the first time. But I will take mine to Werrikimbe next month (have bought the mesh inner also).

Your screen capture shows you the item in your cart, and your unused points. But as you are not logged in to the Moontrail site, it does not list them.
They are listed once you log in. See this post then this post.

The Nallo arrived yesterday.
This is one nice tent!
Put it up in the backyard. So easy.
I think I said we got 20% off it because it had been used as a display model.
What can I say, it looks perfect to me.
Can't wait to test it out on a real mountain.
