The Bushwalk AUSTRALIA calendar is now complete and available from the same place as the TASMANIA calendar. The original post of this topic has been updated to include full information and links for both calendars.

Thanks again to the members who've contributed photos by entering the photo competitions here. These calendars are each full of excellent examples of photography, as well as excellent illustrations of our bush and our passions.

Thanks guys.

Tasadam did most of the work this time (and last time), but I think it it getting easier now that we've done it a few times. I've kept my GIMP files for the covers this time, and I know Tasadam has kept his Photoshop template for the other image files, too, so it will be somewhat easier if I we use the same or similar formats next year.

The RedBubble produced calendars are certainly a far superior product to the CafePress calendars we put out the first time for 2009 (and they don't have USA holidays on them!).

A little bit about the calendars -

Useful Words About Calendars
Detail of a calendar

RedBubble calendars are printed using marvellous futuristic technologies, so complex we can't go into them here, but we can tell you they are lovingly printed on a luscious 200gsm satin art paper at the striking size of A3 (that’s 297x420mm, or 11.69x16.54").

They also have very handy wire binding so you can hang them from things like 'hooks' on exciting places like 'walls'.

I've been doing my own calendars for some time and have been very happy with them.
I am happy with the post production that I have done on all the photos that are on these two bushwalk calendars, and I am sure they are going to look great!
Congratulations to all the forum members that made it into these calendars.

We've finally sold a few of the Australia calendars... phew! I was starting to think that maybe we'd wasted out time on that one, but we've now sold a small handful of those.

The Tasmania calendars appear to be quite popular still. I will be getting one of these myself, some time soon.

I've just become aware that one person received a calendar with a fault in the binding such that it cannot be hung on the wall properly. I'm hoping that this problem is a one-off, but thought I'd post this information here, just to be on the safe side.

The people that make and sell these calendars for us are a professionally run outfit and do have a money-back / replacement guarantee and will apparently fix such problems as soon as possible without fuss. Here's what they say:

Money Back Guarantee

We pride ourselves on getting things right. That doesn’t mean we’re perfect, but when we make mistakes we fix them.

If you’re not happy with your RedBubble order get in touch with us and we’ll either organize a replacement, provide you with a store credit or give you your money back. It’s your choice.

So if you do have any problems, please use the get in touch with us link on their guarantee page or go directly to their 'write us a note' page, and fill in the details of the problem there.

NB: I can't speak about their customer service from my own experience, as every one of several dozen calendars I received from them last year to send on to other people was faultless and I've never had to try out their customer support. This is also the same experience of everyone else I know of over the previous year or so since using them.

Pleased to get my calendar today!!
Quality of the pictures was a little dissapointing, but they still look ok.

Im not sure if it would be possible, but it would also be nice to have major events marked on the relevant days... Like public holidays, xmas, easter... etc etc.

Could you please let me know what in particular the issue(s) are by PM? We may then be able to consider improvements. I thought the quality of last year's calendar was very good, but I haven't actually got my hands on this year's yet.

Yes, I've nagged RedBubble about this in the past, but haven't had any response, unfortunately.

Other places allow custom messages on each day too (eg, "BWT Anniversay Gathering"), but their calendar quality or overall size was somewhat lacking, compared to the Red Bubble calendars (I trialled 3 different places).

Like all things Nik, these things are full of compromises - I can make a far nicer print at home using quality paper than can be produced on a commercial calender that is being produced in a template style such as the Red Bubble calender - as you improve print quality and personalise information price goes up.....
It's still great to have my pics in the BWT calender though!

I received the Australia calendar and it looks really good. thanks Nick.

In the process I sort of agreed to sign up to Red Bubble - and decided to put a small number of photos up to see what will happen.

Calendar arrived last week in plenty of time, so very happy with speed of delivery. It looks good too, thanks for the great work on that!
Also took at look at your "other" calendars TD, fab images. Might aim for 12 decent photos in 2011 and do the same - then buy them myself for the rels

No harm in trying  . Arrived Monday, looks good. I found a way to re-use my 2009 BWT calendar as "cubicle artwork". I filpped the calendar part over so it's not visible and hung it up in my cubicle at work. Now I can re-visit those images month by month. Haven't tried it with the 2010 one yet.

How about just 11 months?

I received the Tasmania calendar as a Christmas gift and noticed today that there is no February.
