[LOST] Barmah Squashy Kangaroo Hat - Moss Ridge

I lost my Barmah Squashy Kangaroo leather hat on the way to Eastern Arthurs from Farmhouse Creek. I took it off when you first come out of the scrub into the open at the top of Moss Ridge (where you get your first wind since leaving the plains) and attached it to the outside of my pack. I lost it somewhere between here and tent platforms at Bechervaise Plateau. I believe it must have got caught on something when pack hauling on those steep sections where you dip down for the last time before going back up to Bechervaise. This stretch is not really subjected to wind so there is a high chance that its on or not far off the track. We came out on the Huon Track so we didn't get a chance to have a look for it on the return. When we picked up one of the cars at Farmhouse Creek there were 5 cars parked there (as opposed to none when we had set off) so hopefully one of them may have found it and is a member of this forum. Hi Steve. A bit sad losing your good hat. I have been keeping an eye out for a report on your Federation Pk trip or pictures in your Gallery. I guess you have been too busy this month. I hope it was a great trip and that you managed to summit on a clear day. Jose
