[Hob TAS] Pack - OP Styx 2 Long 75

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

[Hob TAS] Pack - OP Styx 2 Long 75

Postby abowen » Thu 03 Mar, 2011 9:06 am

Update:3 March 2011 - pictures finally added.
Older model OP Styx 2 pack. Still in very good condition (slightly dirty on the bottom - but what pack isn't if you have used it a bit). These packs appear to be bombproof and could easily outlast any long distance walks that I have planned over the next several years.
The pack would suit a tallish person - I am close to 180cm in height. Harness and back length is adjustable.
This is one of the OP packs endorsed by the Chiroractor's Association of Australia. It has one of the best hip belts I have ever worn.
I have used this pack on the Overland Track and had no complaints about comfort. The pack has capacity to carry food and equipment for several days - but that's its limit (IMHO). On the Overland, I was packed for a solo walk including a solo tent.
The colour is navy and a dark orange.
Reason for selling - I have another OP pack for long treks and the Styx 2 is surplus to my needs (I also need to reduce my gear before it starts to take over my room - usual story - three tents, three packs, two sets of cooking gear, multiple items of clothing, etc.)
Looking for $250 - not including any postage.
Will try and post some pics of the pack later in the week. In the meantime, I am happy to answer any questions about the pack or for trips it might be suitable. If you PM me, I will be able to respond quicker.
Regards

Andrew Bowen

Soak it overnight in a bathtub in warm water with mild detergent, Replace the water a couple of times if need be, Rinse well, and hang to dry in the sun, be careful carrying the pack while it's still soaked, These are instructions given to me by One Planet to clean my pack. Made a big difference to my pack. Leaving the pack in the sun to dry, also helps to waterproof the Canvas.
