The Labyrinth area

Postby Captain Cool » Fri 08 Apr, 2011 2:44 pm

Can anyone shed some light on how far (distance and time) it is from Bert Nichols Hut to Lake Elysia, and back out from Lake Elysia to Narcissus/Lake St Clair (the ferry)?

Is the track pretty well defined from Pine Valley Hut?

Thanks!

According to Chapman in his Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair Book (you should buy one  ) Bert Nicholls to Pine Valley Hut 9.8 km 3 hours,Pine Valley Hut to Lake Elysia 8.0km 5 hours return,PVH to Narcissus 8.9 km 3hours.
Have not walked the track to Elysia for about 15 years so cannot comment as to how it is marked but I am sure someone on the forum will know.

Was there quite recently, it is an excellent track. One of the best i've been on. All the way to Helious!!

Those times seem pretty good, though I think I did PV to Nasc. in around 2 hrs not 3.
Nothing to see here.
