Unless you've been there, this one is probably a little more difficult than some of the others I've posted. I'll offer some further clues. I'm in a nominally trackless location at a dry creek junction (unnamed) separating two spurs (one is named on the map, the other not, but it may have an unofficial name). We got here by wading/rockhopping upstream for several kms from a tracked area.

A complete guess, could it be the Shoalhaven near Bungonia creek.

Hi Tony, That's the closest guess so far but (further clue) I'm approximately 2.5km south of that junction.
Could be something cooking around here.

Yes, Camp Oven Spur is rising up in front of me on the right. Our eventual exit route is just behind me via the "Beebox" spur (from guidebook author Robert Sloss).
This ultimately returns to Bungonia Lookdown passing west of Mt Ayre. Main features in the background are Siveright Spur and Mt Griffith Taylor, adjacent to the abandoned Tolwong copper mine and chimneys. Your turn again Tom.

I have to admit that after one of your previous entries, I had scanned your site and had remembed seeing this shot.
However, I have done a bit more research on the area now.

This is a photo of a photo - what is this NT place called?

Is it the Todd River near the Communications Station just out of Alice Springs?

That is correct - but I was hoping you might add that it is actually "Alice Springs" - ie the actual springs after which the town is named.
It is normally one or 2 pools that sit near the sloping rock - but I had the privilege of seeing the Todd flowing a few times that year.

Thanks eggs.

The Todd was bone dry when we where there except for one day when it bucketed down and the Todd flowed for a few hours and that was it. Didn't realise that spot was the actual "Alice Springs".

Give me a sec' and I'll have a scrounge for a photo to post.

Mt Tibrogargan it is eggs. Definitely not climbing via that face , although we did meet a party of rock climbers who had just come down from somewhere up there. We were just doing the circuit around the base but ended up ascending perhaps 2/3 of the summit track as a side trip. It was a bit late in the day to complete the climb and I wasn't too disappointed turning back at a scary looking bit. Your turn.

It is indeed. Also much bigger than I'd realised. And very different around the western side.

Hmmmmm . . . right, this is just along the track a teensy bit from my camp. I'm on ?????? Spur, at the top of ?????? Spur, having come down from ?????? Hill?
Oh, and we're still in Victoria.

All the Victorians must be out walking? Let's try and get this moving again. Unfortunately I don't know the area (looks nice though), and had very little luck with research. Is the very well known track the AAWT? That may narrow it down to ??? kms . Othwerwise I'm coming up with names like Helicopter Spur, Staircase Spur, Diamantina Spur, Mt Howitt, Feathertop, Bogong, Bon Accord Hill et al. Can't find a similar image though.

I,m not out walking , But I can not visualize this view.
I think being on a spur, at the top of the spur and just coming of a hill is playing with my mind :?
I keep going back to the feathertop razorback area.
I think being home bound for the last 4 months with a broken leg and surfing the net dreaming of walks is not helping either.
